The Group is making this effort to reassert its leadership on carbon-free vehicles. The Group's objective for 2012 is to sell more than one million vehicles emitting less than 120g/km of CO2, compared to 900 000 today.
This increase will be achieve through the implementation of a broad range of technologies :
- the continued improvement of existing diesel and petrol engine families and the introduction of a new 3-cylinder petrol unit,
- Fitting almost all ranges with the second generation Stop & Start system in 2011,
- electric vehicles starting in 2011,
- hybrid technology in 2011.
