The solution to adapt PSA's electronic architectures to your vehicle : The IPU

In order to satisfy its clients' needs, PCM has developed an interfacing unit called IPU (Interfacing Powertrain Unit). The IPU enables the adaptation of the powertrain's Electricity/Electronic perimeter to the client's vehicle.

On the basis of communication with the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and, if necessary, with the gearbox control unit, the IPU has the following embedded functions

• Control of dash board display (wire communication)

• Anti-starting (identification of the transponder chip)

• Acquisition of information (by wire) going from the vehicle to the ECU (CAN High Speed) Fuel level, brake info, outside temperature, etc.
